Welcome to my blog and thank you for checking it out!

I am starting this blog for a few different reasons.  First I need motivation to continue working on my projects.  I feel blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom and some think (especially my husband) I have ample time to do whatever I want to do.  This is far from the case!  I spend much of my day entertaining a 2 year old with endless energy and when I do get 5 minutes I just want to sit down.  This blog will help me be accountable to those who want to craft with me and force me to spend some time on what I love to do.

Secondly, I am tired of spending so much money on things that I know I could make.  Clothing for my daughter is probably top of this list.  She grows so fast it seems so crazy to me that I spend so much money on clothes she will only wear 4 months because we have to switch seasons and by the next year she will be in a new size. I also have a hard time finding clothing for myself because like we are not standard sizes like clothing in the store.    This blog gives me the opportunity to not only create things but learn from you who follow me.

Lastly, I would like to not only help you learn I would like you to teach me.  I am completely self taught when it comes to sewing and do not know half of what there is out there.  I always love to learn because I am a firm believer in the old motto "Work smarter not harder"!
